Canadian - U.S. Cross-Border Immigration, Tax, and Wealth Management Seminar

Cross-Border Experts Answer Your Questions!

US-CanadianDollarsPassport.jpg

As Canadians living in Southern California, most of us have had or will have questions about cross-border immigration, tax, and/or wealth management. These issues often go hand-in-hand, as each one can have an effect on the other. So, we decided to bring together a team of experts to share with us their perspectives on each of these areas, and then we will weave them together in some tangible stories of how they have helped their clients through challenges, through a panel discussion.

Of course, you will have the opportunity to network with our experts before and after the presentations and panel discussion, so we hope you get some of your questions answered along the way. If your questions are more complex, at least this will give you an opportunity to meet someone face-to-face that deals with cross-border issues all day long, and should be able to help you.

On Saturday, February 16th, 2019, please join us at one of the following locations in Irvine or Santa Monica, and hear and meet our panel of experts. We will start with networking over appetizers and beverages, hear from each organization, conduct a panel discussion, and then go back to networking. We promise to keep the presented material and panel short enough to allow for more networking afterward as well.

Come From Away Musical at Segerstrom Center for the Arts

Broadway's Come From Away Musical Tells The Story of Gander, Newfoundland in the Aftermath of 9/11

CFA-Final-Artwork 6600x3300.jpg

This New York Times Critics’ Pick and Tony Award-winning Broadway Musical takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town of Gander, Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don’t miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® Nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year’s Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, “It takes you to a place you never want to leave!”

On 9/11, the world stopped.

On 9/12, their stories moved us all!

This is a show that you, your friends, and your family won't want to miss!

This performance of “Welcome to the Rock” from the 2017 Tonys is a great taste of what is in store for us.

Ottawa Senators Viewing at Huskins Coffee Company

Huskins Hockey Watch Party.png

Huskins Coffee Company was recently opened in Santa Ana by fellow Canadian and former Anaheim Ducks player, Kent Huskins and his wife Bri. They have a great space, which includes some hockey memorabilia and a nice nod to Canada, but most importantly, they make great coffee and also have beer on tap.

Our very own Anne Valdepsino wrote a great article about the cafe for the Orange County Register, that you can read here. And, here is a video interview of Kent in the coffee shop from Fox Sports West.

Kent has graciously offered to host us at Huskins Coffee Company to watch the Ottawa Senators take on the Anaheim Ducks! Space is limited, so reserve your place fast!

Game time is 7:00 PM, but we’d like you to join us at 6:00 PM to meet our hosts, who will give us a tour of the hockey and Canadian elements of the space, as well as a coffee tasting presentation. After that you are free to buy whatever coffee drink or beer you want and settle in to watch the game with us on their projection screen. You should plan on eating dinner before the event, as they do not have a full kitchen.

If you are unable to make it to this game, but find yourself in the area, stop by Huskins Coffee Company for a great coffee or beer and tell them Canadians in Orange County sent you!
